![]() MAIN SPEAKER: BECKY HAMMOND |
![]() MUSIC: JUDY BEAVERS & Co. |
Becky Hammond was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, MI a very long time ago!! She attended Great Lakes Christian College where she met her husband, Dean, the year he graduated with a degree in preaching ministry. Together they have served in church ministry all of their married lives, and are presently serving Parkview Church of Christ in Wooster, OH alongside some of the best people in the world. Becky and Dean are the parents of two grown sons: Max (married to Jill) and Brad (married to Susan). One of Becky's greatest joys is seeing her children and spouses pass their faith on to six fabulous and incredibly hilarious grandchildren. (Pictures are available upon request - and sometimes without request!) If you were to ask her what her favorite ministry opportunity is, she would tell you speaking to women, because she believes that women are uniquely gifted to impact their homes, their communities and the kingdom of God with the message of life and love that comes only from Jesus Christ. She is quite sure (although cannot find any scriptural reference ----yet) that when she gets to heaven God will make her proprietor of a tea room where she can visit and giggle with other women and have tea and dessert for infinity. (Well, one can dream...) We are grateful to have Judy back for another year of serving as worship leader at Northwomen. Judy and her husband, Phil, live in DeWitt, MI, and both work at their alma mater, Great Lakes Christian College, in Lansing. Judy will begin her 23rd year as Outreach Ministries Director this Fall, and has taught piano at the college for many of those years. Judy has 27 piano students in her home studio, as well, and is also Worship Coordinator at Duplain CHurch of Christ, St. Johns, MI. The Beavers have three beautiful daughters and five wonderful grandchildren - 4 boys and 1 girl. By the time Northwomen rolls around, Judy will have a portfolio of pictures available of her newest grandbaby! |
